What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Over a decade ago, Subaru became the first U.S. auto manufacturer to become zero-landfill, and now, in collaboration with the National Park Service and the National Parks Conservation Association, Subaru is leveraging that same environmental expertise to help the National Parks reach zero-landfill too.

Love Promise Stories from Galpin Subaru

Blanket Delivery to UCLA Health Santa Clarita  –  Toni H

Blanket Delivery to UCLA Health Santa Clarita

We were thrilled that Galpin Subaru chose to participate this year! They are family owned and super philanthropic! The blankets were delivered to UCLA Health Santa Clarita. Why we didn't get to deliver to patients, the staff could not have been nicer. Deyci and Kate from Galpin were so warm, bright, and just rays of sunshine. Pam Schaeffer from UCLA was so grateful for the blankets and assured us that they will distributed to the patients! Thank you Galpin Subaru!

Share The Love  –  Pam R

Share The Love

Until you have lived with or alongside cancer, you can’t possibly know the cost of this insidious disease. In its many forms, it robs its victims of their health, their livelihood, their dignity. And of course, much—if not all—of their financial resources. At Circle of Hope, it is our mission to ease the struggles of those diagnosed with cancer in the Santa Clarita Valley. We strive to provide emotional assistance, educational opportunities and much-needed financial resources to those stricken with breast, colon, reproductive cancers and melanoma. Because we get no governmental funding, we are constantly seeking support from the community through public and private donations. Dan Sterkel, GM of Galpin Subaru of Santa Clarita, generously added our charity to the Subaru “Share the Love” campaign. When our modest and hard-working board of directors turned out in force for the resulting check presentation, we all hoped it would reach as much as $8,000.00—enough to add one or two newly diagnosed clients. The amount was a well-kept secret until the moment the check was revealed to us. As our small group focused on the amount—$27,852.00—confusion, shock and joy spread across our faces as the realization hit that we would be able to take on not one or two, but several possible new cancer patients. Our gratitude toward Dan, his staff, Galpin Subaru and Galpin’s Share the Love campaign is immeasurable. Thank you to everyone for helping us make a difference today!

Giving Back

Throughout the 2016 holiday season, Galpin Subaru supported Circle of Hope to raise awareness around the goodwill Circle of Hope provides to those suffering from cancer. On November 21st, Galpin Subaru hosted two board members at the dealership which provided an outlet for Circle of Hope to interact with the Santa Clarita community and to help increase their outreach. As Circle of Hope continues to grow, the more individuals they'll be able to support emotionally, financially as well providing educational support.
